The idea for this project came to me when I realised that my Grandchildren could not tell the time on a normal clock. They could tell the time ok, but only on a digital clock. I therefore set out to design the teaching clock so that it could be used by either the teacher or the child under the teacher’s instruction. The hands are connected through a set of gears to give a 12 to 1 ratio, so that by turning the minute hand, the hour hand would also turn at the reduced rate.
The parts all fit together inside the case, and the Dial is secured by several dots of superglue
